Start time: Morning classes, 0730. Afternoon classes, 1300.
Entry fee (per Match): $40 If received by Sept 1.
$50 If received after Sept 15.
Open to all shooters. Entry by preregistration only. Registration must be received by September 20. Entry is limited to 72 shooters (36 morning and 36 afternoon) Shooters may enter one morning and one afternoon classes if they wish to enter two classes.
Target pullers will be provided.
Awards will be plaques for the first three places in the classes listed.
Course of fire: Three 15 shot strings for record, slow fire. There will be five minutes for unlimited sighters before the first string only.
Classes: Morning Matches: NRA Match Rifle iron sight, NRA Match Rifle
any sight (no bipod) and NRA Service Rifle. NRA rules apply to all rifles
in the morning match.
Afternoon Matches: Open Class and Battle Rifle
Open class is any shoulder-fired rifle (rifle may not be supported
behind the trigger guard except by the shooter). This class will fire on
the NRA 300yd target.
Battle rifle is an issue type service rifle* in original configuration with a post front sight and issue type rear sight or combat type scope**. Floater tubs and factory original muzzle brakes are allowed. All rounds in this class must be able to pass through an issue magazine. Slings and light shooting jackets (cloth without lining) are allowed. Bi-pods are not allowed. Rifle barrels must appear to have an issue weight barrel (heavy barrel under the hand guard is ok). This class will fire on the Military Figure B target.
*Issue type service rifles: M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M-14/M1A, M-16, FN-FAL,
FNC, HK-91, HK-93, SMLE, 1903 Springfield, Mauser KAR 9X, SKS, AK-XX, SIG-AMT,
Mosin-Nagant, other issue combat rifles and commercial equivalents.
**Combat type scope: SUSAT, L1A2 Trilox, ACOG, Colt handle mount 4x
and copies, ELCAN, US Optics SN4, 1.5 AUG and other battle scopes.
Derrick Martin and Richard Kohn will make final decision on other battle rifles and scopes.
